HKS has added the ZN8 Toyota GR86 and ZD8 Subaru BRZ to its Flash Editor ECU reflash tool. The Japan-market unit carries part number 42015-AT105 and is priced at ¥110,000 including tax; Japanese outlets reported the addition on September 13.
The headline 350 PS calibration is not for a stock car. It is intended for a manual-transmission car already fitted with supported bolt-on turbo hardware, and it is one of four preset maps the unit ships with.
The Flash Editor is a handheld unit that connects through the car's OBD-II port to reflash the factory ECU. HKS lists it for the FA24-powered ZN8 GR86 built from October 2021 and, on its BRZ parts page, for the 3BA-ZD8 Subaru BRZ; Response reports the BRZ application as covering cars built from August 2021.
The preset calibrations
HKS publishes the following reference figures for its own test configurations:

HKS notes these are its own chassis-dyno measurements and says results can vary with measuring equipment, individual vehicles and weather. Automatic cars are covered for Phase 1, Phase 2 and the supercharger map, quoted at 231 PS, 235 PS and 290 PS respectively; the turbo calibration is available only for manual cars.
The forced-induction maps carry conditions. HKS states that Phase 3 (S/C) requires a 43 mm restrictor on the supercharger, and that Phase 3 (T/C) requires its Pressure Sensor Kit for FA20/FA24. For anything beyond Phase 1, an aftermarket throttle controller must be removed. Custom data can be written through an HKS PowerWriter Shop.
The supplied calibrations give a GR86 or BRZ owner an upgrade path from a largely stock car to a supported supercharged or turbocharged one, provided the required hardware and a compatible ECU ID are in place. HKS has not announced overseas pricing or availability, and compatibility with non-Japanese-market ECU IDs remains unconfirmed; the company directs owners with unlisted ECU IDs to a PowerWriter Shop or its support center.
